I went to Cataloochee & skied!! Great conditions & small crowd. I too thought I would be skiing in mashed potatoes from the warm weather. Boy was I wrong. Perfect "packed powder" (sorry Mike) until the sun went down, then it got a little crusty. Great coverage! Everyone I rode up the lift with was praising the conditions and I heard no complaints. So my advise to the weather worriers is: Get off your computers & get on the slopes!
