On Snow

My friend and I went to opening day at the Wolf today and I have to say that it was a great experience from beginning to end.

The snow was very deep and for some reason – very light and fluffy. In the morning the conditions would be man-made powder, and by midday it had turned to mashed taters. Still rather fast though.

The lifties were in good spirits and pleasant. Almost no one there – maybe 50 people all day. Never waited in a single line.

The trails they had open were groomed nice and I was just really suprised at what a great time I had. Some kids had made a couple of kickers and were having a good time as well.
