NC ski conditions are good and I am grateful. Skiing in NC in the 1970’s, it took Sugar 2 weeks of cold nights to open to ¾ . The top was often open only after Christmas. This month, Sugar opened ¾ after ONE night of snowmaking, opening the top after two nights. This was unthinkable 30 years ago. Grooming today makes a huge difference in conditions too.
Area web cams are awesome for looking at conditions anytime. We appreciate what we have today in the south; the commitment to snowmaking is wonderful for all.
