Ober Gatlinburg to host grand opening for Summer Tubing with Ober Rocks concert

Ober Gatlinburg is set to host a party on Saturday, June 22.

The resort is set to host Ober Rocks the Tubing Park to celebrate the grand opening of their summer tubing. The event will be the start of expanding the popular winter concert series to a year-round series.

Ober Rocks the Tubing Park will feature live music, entertainment, food and other festivities from 1p-9p at the resort. Door prices will also be given away at 4p.

Josiah and the Greater Good is set to headline the free lawn concert while local musician Nygel Bounds will open for them. The concert is set to begin at 4:30p.

Ober Gatlinburg opened the brand-new summer tubing on June 12 and is located adjacent to the Ski Mountain coaster. The Magic Carpet will continue to carry riders and their tubes to the top of the tubing hill where riders will cruise back down on one of four 250’ lanes.

The slippery lanes made of synthetic materials, allow riders to feel the sensation of being on layers of compact snow. Neveplast tracks also respect and preserve the environment and will be easily removed before the snow flies for Snow Tubing.
