It is going to be a wonderful Wednesday.

Today probably deserves a bluebird day alert even though a few locations may have a few clouds floating by, but it is going to be a beautiful day nevertheless.

The snow conditions are going to match how awesome of a day as the mountain operation guys have been rocking it the past few days.

Terrain expansion has been the name of the game this week, and the resorts have delivered. Winterplace, Massanutten, App Ski Mountain, Timberline Mountain, Cataloochee, Snowshoe Mountain, and Wisp Resort all added additional trails to the mix today.

Nearly every resort has added additional terrain at some point this week along with solidifying the base depths.

The conditions for the holiday weekend are looking incredible, and all eyes are on the forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

It is too early for details as the system will be complex, but there is definitely some potential to drop some fresh natural snow.

Stay tuned as we get closer to the weekend.

Before the excitement of the Saturday/Sunday system gets here, we will have a quick clipper move through on Thursday evening and Friday morning. That will be a quick shot of some light snow at most resorts – helping set the scene for an awesome weekend.
