Wintergreen Resort To Kick Off 2023-24 Season On Dec. 15

Wintergreen Resort is slated to open for the 2023-24 winter season on Friday, December 15, with skiing and snowboarding from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The expected open trails include Upper Dobie, Lower Dobie, Patch, Teaching Area, Upper Cross Trail, and Lower Cross Trail.. The Blue Ridge Express and Patch lift will provide chairlift access to the terrain.

The Plunge Snow Tubing Park resumes operations on Friday, December 15 after opening December 2 for the season.

Wintergreen Resort’s General Manager, Jay Gamble, commented on the start of the season, “We are excited to announce the start of skiing and riding at Wintergreen this Friday at 9:00 a.m. Winter is coming on strong this year and we’ve already received four inches of natural snow along with good snowmaking temperatures. With our powerful snowmaking system, we’ll continue to make snow aggressively whenever conditions allow to open additional terrain.”

An 8-hour lift ticket is $89 for adults at the ticket window and $59 for youth ages 6-12. Wintergreen’s Mission Affordable 4-Pack of lift tickets is just $319 until December 18. Quad packs include four single day lift tickets valid for any age on any day during the 2023-24 winter season. A 20% discount is offered to all 4-pack holders on any midweek condo rental when booked by December 18. Restrictions apply.

New this season, Wintergreen is offering a Ski Free Lodging Deal. Book a two-night or more lodging stay in any studio/efficiency or condominium unit and receive complimentary 8-hour lift tickets per person, per night based on unit occupancy. The deal must be booked by Monday, January 8, 2024, using code SKIFREE. Blackout dates apply: December 25 to January 1, January 12 – 15, January 24 – 28, and February 16 – 19. The deal requires a two-night minimum stay, is only valid on new reservations, and not available on vacation home rentals.
