Weather Roller Coaster For The Weekend

Ma’ Nature is going to throw a little bit of everything at us over the weekend.

It is going to be a typical spring day in the mountains for today, and the weather roller coaster will be in full effect.

Today is going to t-shirt kind of day as temperatures will be in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s before the southern part of the region sees some rain move through.

In traditional spring fashion, some thunder may mix in this evening.

Saturday is looking pretty nice – warm but sunny – before temperatures fall and we could see some natural snow by Sunday morning.

We aren’t expecting any significant accumulation, but it would be a great way to close out the weekend.

Like I said – it is going to be a roller coaster ride.

For the latest conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

It is the last weekend of the season for three resorts as App Ski Mountain, Massanutten and Timberline will all close their respective seasons on Sunday, March 20.

Snowshoe’s Silver Creek will close for the season on Sunday as well, but the Basin is looking to go through Sunday, March 27.

App Ski Mountain (which is where today’s featured image happens to be from) is hosting their Meltdown Games on Saturday and Sunday, which is always a great time. Snowshoe is also hosting their Spring Send It Event (how awesome is that name) on Saturday.

It is time to get those final turns in while we can. I can’t believe we are sitting towards the end of March already.

Time flies when you are having fun.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
