Oktoberfest is one of the cooler events in our mountain communities and you have a few opportunities to join in on the beer, brats and everything else that comes along with it.

Ober Gatlinburg kicked their OkOBERfest off last weekend and will run through November 3.

Canaan Valley’s Justin Harris hits the trail with his latest update to check on the fall colors from the Bald Knob Trail. Speaking of fall colors, our Kenny Griffin posted a timelapse over at with a view of the fall colors near Banner Elk earlier this week.

Appalachian Ski Mountain had a great Throwback Thursday post looking back at the Orange Lift.

Snowshoe’s countdown to opening day hit 50 days on Thursday and it is a great time to remind you that their annual Flurry of Savings event kicks off on Monday.
