The Curveball Start To March

Another mild day is on the way.

Some overnight rain has started the clear-out this morning, but the mildish temperatures are staying put for a couple more days.

Despite the curveball start to March, the resorts are continuing to battle to stay open for a little while longer.
App Ski Mountain, Snowshoe Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Wisp have lifts spinning for today if you are wanting to make some spring laps.

For the full details, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

We have a couple of resorts – Beech Mountain, Canaan Valley and Timberline – that are hoping to resume operations tomorrow, while Massanutten is hoping to get things cranked back up Saturday and Sunday.

One note – Bryce Resort is still open as they are making the Bunny Slope and Little Nip available for use with access by the carpet lifts. However, they have temporarily suspended operations on all chair-lift accessed terrain and at tubing as well.

The team at Bryce has worked extremely hard to keep things going, and they are vowing to make snow once the temps dip again.

Hopefully, they get the chance again this weekend and potentially next week.

Before we get there, we are going to have another weather roller coaster as we could deal with more rain overnight and into tomorrow – we could even deal with some thunderstorms.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
