Wednesday is going to be on the wet side of things.

The radar picture is a lot of green as a system moves through the entire area today. As a result, we have seen a couple of resorts alter schedules due to the heavy rain.

Massanutten and Wintergreen have announced that they are going to suspend operations for today, and both are planning to reopen tomorrow (Thursday, March 7). Canaan Valley had previously announced on Monday that they were going to suspend operations for today and tomorrow with the plan to resume skiing operations on Friday.

That leaves App Ski Mountain, Beech Mountain, Bryce Resort, Cataloochee, Ober Mountain, Snowshoe Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Timberline Mountain, and Wisp Resort as resorts spinning lifts today barring any changes later this morning.

For the complete details, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

With some good rain gear, today could still be a lot of fun with a lot fewer people on the slopes.

The weather is going to turn for Thursday as it is looking pretty solid to make a few laps. The weekend is looking like a mixed bag, but we will keep an eye on that.
