The pattern is about to change in our favor again.

It is going to be a rainy and mild start to our Wednesday, but things will start trying to clear out this afternoon and overnight.

Once things clear out, we will see a return to more seasonal temperatures with snowmaking windows at night and even a shot at some natural snow.

Pretty good timing for those coming up this weekend.

Brad shared his latest skier’s forecast overnight, and the news is pretty good.

This weekend is starting to look pretty fantastic.

For today, the rain that started on Tuesday afternoon picked up again early this morning and is starting to work its way out of the area.

Cataloochee and Ober Mountain saw over an inch and a half of rain – with Cataloochee nearing the two-inch mark. The North Carolina High Country resorts along with Wisp Resort saw over a half inch of underdeveloped snow while some of the other northern resorts saw lighter amounts.

The rain has had an impact on bases as we have seen a couple of reports close a couple of trails and share thin spots may be possible.

However, there is still plenty of snow to play on.

For the full details, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

Thursday is looking pretty nice to get out and play, and Friday is looking even better as snowmaking will refresh the slopes very quickly.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
