Keep thinking snow because so far it is working in January.

Wednesday is shaping up to be a gray day, but the conditions are fantastic this morning as we head into the tail end of the week.

We saw some more natural snowfall across the area with Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain receiving around three inches of fresh snow.

Snowshoe added an inch to their impressive season total, while Canaan and Timberline recorded a trace – the fifth day in 2021 that they have had at least that.

The biggest news of the day is that most resorts were able to crank up snowmaking operations. The next week or so is going to be a really, really nice stretch that should allow for ample snowmaking opportunities.

It has been such a sweet start to the year, and the trend continues to look promising.

Brad posted his latest update last night, and it looks great.

We will certainly take that pattern anytime that we can get.

As for today, conditions will be really good on the slopes if you can get out and have some fun. With fresh snow, it will be a great day to ride and slide.
