One of the top questions that we’re getting right now via email is about gift certificates or gift ideas via SkiSoutheast. We MAY add our own online store at some point soon – maybe even very soon – but we are always striving to BE what YOU GUYS need us to be. So since you asked, we went on a little online expedition in search of how you can give the gift of SNOW for this Holiday season.

ski resort gift cardsTis the season of gift giving and let’s face it, choosing gifts for our loved ones, co-workers and friends is one of those tasks that none of us relishes.

Here’s an idea… Why not give the gift of skiing?

Everyone loves adventure. Even those who have never skied or snowboarded have probably thought about it. Give them the gift of a ski or snowboard lesson at a ski area closest to them.

If they’re not the skiing or snowboarding type – how about the gift of travel? That doesn’t have to break your Holiday gift-giving budget. Many lodging packages are available at all of the resorts and if your budget doesn’t allow paying for an entire weekend stay, then perhaps you could coordinate with another person or persons to share in the expense.

ski resort gift cardsAll of the ski areas that we researched offer the ability to purchase gift certificates or gift cards in about ANY denomination. So if you know one of your friends or family is planning a ski trip for this winter, then it’s easy to simply purchase a gift card that fits your budget AND it will be a gift that will be much better than that ill-fitting tie or set of strange wrenches that you doubt they’ll ever use!

If you have someone in your circle of family and friends who already loves to ski or snowboard, then trust us when we share the fact that every snow-loving soul out there is also a SKI BUM at heart. NOTHING…and I mean NOTHING beats skiing and snowboarding – except FREE SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING!

If you’re already a skier or snowboarder and YOU’VE made a promise to yourself to get on the slopes more this winter – but you can never seem to convince your buddies to go as frequently as you’d like, then give the gift of skiing to one of your friends. You’d be giving a great gift AND GIFTING YOURSELF a guaranteed ski buddy!

You know that one friend who is repeatedly saying, “I wish I could do that!” every time you share one of your awesome mountain stories with him or her? Make your friend’s dreams come true with a lesson or two this year. If your friend crushes it and becomes a snow-loving freak, then you’ll have eternal bragging rights on being the person who introduced them to the sport.

We know that everyone’s budget is different. Not everyone can afford to purchase a season pass as a gift for someone. If you CAN, then good for you. Do it. Your snow-loving family member or friend will consider you as THE gift giving beast that you are!

If not, don’t fret as the ski areas of the Southeast and mid-Atlantic have the perfect solutions in the form of gift certificates that you can buy incrementally.

Everyone loves to do their Christmas or Holiday gift shopping online these days. Over the last week we’ve received a few emails asking us where and how to purchase gift cards or certificates at various resorts and admittedly it wasn’t easy to find that sort of information on the ski resort’s websites. In fact, in a few cases we had to call the resort. However, as usual – you ask and we delivered.

Here we go…

MANY of the resorts offer the ability to buy gift cards and other merchandise online. Others require you to call the resort directly. We’ve provided the most convenient means for ordering/purchasing:
