This weekend is starting to look exciting.

Super Bowl weekend is always a lot of fun, especially with some of the great events the resorts are hosting. However, it looks like Ole Man Winter is also going to come and watch the game with us.

While there is still a lot of uncertainty about totals this morning, the trend is growing for a natural snow event for most of the resorts.

Some of the early totals have shifted the bullseye to the North Carolina mountains where we could see double-digit accumulations when it is all said and done, but there are still some factors like the track that could still impact how much snow locations see.

I expect to see some first calls on storm totals from several meteorologists today, and we will bring those to you tomorrow. I am sure Brad will also be stopping by with his latest later today or tomorrow.

Pretty exciting stuff so stay tuned.

Thursday, however, is continuing our spring preview as we will have mild temperatures and some light underdeveloped rain throughout the day. It won’t be a washout by any stretch.

The mountains were showing off this morning with some beautiful sunrises. Check out some of these captures Mike caught and posted over on Facebook.

For the full conditions report, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

It is another one of those status quos with just minor adjustments to base and temperatures.

There was one big update as Omni Homestead has resumed operations as scheduled.

Despite the mild temperatures, things are still looking great on the slopes. The snow will be soft and playful, but that can still be a lot of fun.

Today’s featured image is from Canaan Valley. A great picture from the weekend.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
