It is a colder start to the week.

March has continued to deliver the last few days as colder air and some natural snow to go along with it.

The conditions are looking pretty fantastic this morning as resorts were able to take advantage of some snowmaking windows over the weekend.

It does look like snowmaking was limited to the northern resorts overnight – and even a couple of those were limited.

However, we are seeing a dusting of snow to help set the ambiance at a few of the southern resorts, while Snowshoe, Wisp, and Timberline have received in the two-inch range with some snow still falling.

Not a bad start to the week.

For the full list of conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

Here is a quick look at who is open for play today.

App Ski Mountain – App is playing on seven trails this morning with five lifts spinning. They are reporting groomed conditions atop a 20-30″ base.

Beech Mountain – Beech is rolling into the final week of their season with seven trails serviced by three lifts. They are reporting an 18-28″ base with a groomed surface. Beech is set to close their season on March 18.

Snowshoe Mountain – The ‘Shoe is playing on a 42″ base with a groomed surface. They are riding on 31 open trails with four lifts spinning.

Sugar Mountain – Sugar is playing on a loose and frozen granular surface with a 10-30″ base. They currently have three trails and two lifts spinning.

Timberline Mountain – Timberline is rolling into the week with 16 open trails and three lifts in operation. They are reporting a 10-48″ base with a groomed surface.

Wisp Resort -The Maryland resort is playing on a 12″ base with a groomed and variable surface. They are currently playing on nine trails serviced by five lifts.

It looks like Bryce Resort has paused winter operations until later in the week (thanks for the heads-up, Bill), while Massanutten is still hoping to crank up operations later this week.

We will bring you updates as we get those.

Ma Nature looks like she will continue to play ball with the resorts with some natural snow.

Brad shared his latest skiers forecast over the weekend.

Pretty sweet.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
