Calm Vibe For Tuesday

It is a calm-after-the-storm kind of morning.

President’s Day Weekend appears to be a success for the resorts with great crowds and conditions over the past few days. The resorts were rocking this weekend -which was great to see.

This morning is kind of overcast with Wisp seeing some light rain. Nearly all of the resorts saw some rain on Monday (I even heard some rumbles of thunder late last night), but the mountain operation crews have things ready to play on for the day.

For the full conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

Here are a few notes from the weekend.

  • Canaan Valley has opened Lower Valley Drop to raise their open trail count to 23.
  • As we have dealt with warmer temperatures and some rain, there may be some narrow and thin spots possible at some resorts. Ski and ride with caution.
  • Omni Homestead has announced that Monday was their last day of the season.
  • Mike wrote about Wolf Ridge and their current situation this weekend. If you are wanting to make a trip over today, I would advise calling ahead to be sure they are open. If we get an update, we will be sure to share it.
  • Today’s featured photo is from App Ski Mountain – check out that sweet groom.

The next couple of days are going to be on the warmer side, but cold air looks like it could return for the weekend, especially for the northern resorts.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
