A bluebird day is on the way.

We may see some passing clouds from time to time, but it going to be an absolutely beautiful day to play on the slopes.

Check out this view atop Beech Mountain this morning.

Did I mention the conditions are outstanding?

It is more like prime season conditions on the slopes thanks to some natural snow and the hard work of our mountain operations crews.

The West Virginia resorts along with Wisp have been the big winners amongst open resorts so far.

Timberline has received over a foot of natural snow in the past two days, while the Cheat Mountain magic has been alive at Snowshoe with 11″ over the past three days.

Wisp has seen over five inches in the past 24 hours. Pretty sweet.

The North Carolina resorts received a couple of inches of natural goodness over the past 30 hours and change.

When you combine that with the snowmaking magic, you will find we have some incredible conditions for those able to make turns today

Today’s featured photo is from Snowshoe on Tuesday, and it looked awesome.

After a rough end to February, we are certainly rolling into spring

A couple of operational notes as we approach the weekend.

  • Massanutten is set to resume operations tomorrow (Thursday, March 16), and run through Sunday. The Virginia resort is offering some late-season rates and College Specials. As a bonus, Massanutten Season pass holders will be offered a FREE buddy slope-use ticket to bring a friend. Show your Massanutten Season Pass at the ticket window to receive your free slope-use ticket each day. Also, season pass holders from any other resort will receive a 50% discount for slope-use tickets.
  • Bryce Resort has been able to make snow, but they haven’t shared an update on their weekend plans just yet.
  • As I mentioned yesterday, Snowshoe has announced they will extend their season by a week until April 2.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
