It is going to be a beautiful day to kick off the week.

After what turned out to be an incredible weekend, Monday is going to be more of the same. Today also sets the vibe for what to expect the rest of the week.

I believe Mike called it “Ski Chamber of Commerce Like” yesterday, and that is a perfect way to describe it.

Great weather, fun conditions. While we wish we were seeing fresh powder, we will certainly take this setup as a consolation.

We will see a few clouds move through today, but it will be mostly sunny across the area. The North Carolina High Country resorts could see a stray snow shower as a system moves through the middle of North Carolina, but it won’t lead to any significant accumulation.

With mountain operation crews able to refresh the slopes overnight, conditions are looking incredible on the slopes.

A few notable items to kick start the week.

  • Massanutten is hosting Monday Night Madness tonight with discounted lift tickets and rentals. Please note that are expecting to be near or at capacity so advance purchase online is recommended.
  • The Cupp Run Challenge is today at Snowshoe. The event runs over on the Western Territory. Upper and Lower Cupp Run will be closed all day, but Shay’s Revenge will remain open.
  • Look for snowmaking to continue as long as temperatures allow. However, it looks like most resorts are turning things prior to day sessions starting.

It will be a great week to be able to get out and play.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
