Upgrade Your Ski Ticket to Add Ice Skating for Half Price
Wednesday, 24th December 2008 – Appalachian Ski Mtn. is pleased to announce a new money-saving upgrade for our skiing and snowboarding guests. Anytime a guest purchases a ski ticket, a same-day session of ice skating may be included for only $7. This offer represents a 50% discount for anyone that chooses to ice skate during the same day they are skiing or snowboarding.
This offer may be purchased at any of Appalachian’s eight ticket windows. The interested skier or snowboarder receives a voucher which must be presented with an attached current day ski ticket at the Appalachian Ice Arena to receive their ice skating ticket. This offer also includes complimentary skate rental if needed, and is available to participants of all ages.
Appalachian Ski Mtn. offers three 2-hour ice skating sessions daily at 12 Noon, 2pm, and 7 pm. This season, ice skating began on Saturday, November 22, the earliest date in 15 years. Ice Skating will be offered until 4:30 pm on Christmas Eve, and will resume on a regular schedule beginning at 12 Noon on Christmas Day.
Appalachian Ski Mtn. is the only ski resort in North Carolina that has a Zamboni with the capability to cut and resurface the ice floor at its ice skating facility.
