On Snow

Was off today and so was my bro, so we decided to hit the slopes with this new blast of cold air running through.  Since only App and Sugar were open in our area, we decided on Sugar since they were open to the top.

Headed up for the half day session and arrived about 1215pm. Snowguns were in full force and a light snow was falling from the clouds above as well.

Hit the slopes and someone liked us today, as the guns shut off as we headed up the first time on the lift! Bonus! I was really surprised at the quality of the snow and the lack of people! There were probably less than 20 people on the whole mountain and it was obvious that it was like that all day since hardly any of the open trails were tracked.

Did run after run after run with no lift lines to speak of and excellent snow quality. Started to snow a bit harder late in the day, but was a wintery mix at the bottom. Only bad part of the day was when I missed a landing coming off a kicker and hit my head so hard that i saw some serious stars!
