Another beautiful day is on tap.

I know we would prefer fresh snow falling from the skies, but these beautiful days are pretty fantastic as well.

Today will almost be a carbon copy of Monday, but it will be a tad warmer as we enter a milder stretch over the next couple of days.

However, there is plenty of snow to play on at the open resorts.

Brad shared his first Skier’s Forecast for the 2022-23 season. We are excited to have Brad back for another season, and you can check out his forecast below.

The resorts have certainly taken advantage of the week of snowmaking opportunities. One thing that stood out as I did my morning tour over on Resortcams was simply how much snow was piled up at some locations.

We are talking massive whales of snow.

Speaking of whales of snow, Snowshoe shared an awesome “documentary” on social media discussing the great Cheat Mountain Whale migration.

Pretty fantastic.

While Snowshoe is set to drop the rope on their 2022-23 season tomorrow morning, season passholders are getting a preview day today, and conditions are looking incredible.

Passholders will be able to play on 13 trails with three lifts spinning on Cheat Mountain. Snowshoe is playing on a 72″ base with a groomed surface.

If you are planning to be at rope drop tomorrow, you can expect a few additions to the slope lineup including Spruce and Lower Ballhooter.

App Ski Mountain, Cataloochee, and Sugar also remain open today.

Today’s featured image is from App Ski Mountain – check out that sweet corduroy.

Those three have stayed mostly status quo with some additions to the base. The mountain operation crews at all the resorts deserve a major round of applause – they have really outdid themselves over the last week and change.

For the full details, you can visit the Snow Reports page.

Wednesday will also bring a season preview at Timberline Mountain which looks to be in incredible shape, while Friday will see Wisp Resort and Beech Mountain kick off the season.

Massanutten is looking to announce an opening day in the next day or two, and could also be looking at a weekend opening.

The season is about to take off. Pretty sweet.

That does it for today, but until tomorrow, #ThinkSnow!
