After A Little Friday Rain, The Weekend Is Looking Great

St. Patrick’s Day is bringing a little bit of unlucky weather to kick-start the weekend.

A little underdeveloped snow is moving through the region this morning, but it looks like it is going to be on the light side as far as amounts. It also isn’t going to be a complete washout by any stretch of the imagination.

After the system moves through later today, colder air returns for the weekend, and we could see some light natural snow in the northern part of the region.

The resorts will also have a snowmaking window if they so choose over the weekend as well.

All-in-all, the weekend is shaping up to be fantastic with great conditions.

There are seven resorts open for play today, and the slopes are looking pretty fantastic.

For the full conditions report, be sure to check out the Snow Reports page for all the deets.

We are pretty much status quo as far as open terrain and such from the last couple of days.

We did receive a couple of operational updates on Thursday.
Bryce Resort announced that they will resume operations on Saturday, March 18, and plan to stay open through the following weekend with the closing date being set for Sunday, March 26.

Bryce will have both beginner areas – Little Nip and Bunny Slope – open for Saturday, and they hope to open Bootlegger on Sunday (with a hope that they can get it open on Saturday).

Also on Thursday, Timberline announced that they will continue operating with regular weekday operating hours from Monday, March 20 to Sunday, March 26.

The final night skiing hours of the season will be this upcoming weekend. Timberline has not announced its opertional status for March 27th and beyond.

Today’s featured image is also from Timberline. Such a cool shot.

On Timberline’s Facebook post announcing the updates, one comment read “Your snowmakers and groomers should get medals” and I don’t think I could stay that any better for all of our mountain operation crews.

All of the resorts have certainly worked some magic this season.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
