Spring Skiing Means Super Conditions at Wintergreen Resort

Snowsports enthusiasts can hit the slopes for the rest of the season

WINTERGREEN, VA—Don’t let the balmy weather fool you. Some of the best slope conditions of the year at available right now atop the Blue Ridge Mountains at Wintergreen Resort. Thanks to energetic snowmaking, the resort remains open with an average snowbase of 16-35 inches.

“The time we spent building our snowbase was well spent,” said Jay Roberts, Vice President of Mountain Operations at Wintergreen Resort. “Guests continue to compliment us on the quantity and quality of the snow on all of our trails, including our tubing hills. It’s great to see so many enjoying great conditions along with the great weather. Based on the current conditions, we fully anticipate being open until at least March 23, so there’s plenty of good skiing left.”

For the most current information on slope conditions, guests should visit wintergreenresort.com.

For skiers and snowboarders, the 11,000-acre Blue Ridge Mountain resort offers 25 slopes, featuring extensive beginner-to-expert terrain. Add Wintergreen’s two incredible snowtubing parks, a terrain park, high-speed chairlifts and one of the country’s top snowmaking systems, and it’s no wonder Wintergreen was voted the “Best Ski Resort” by the readers of the WashingtonPost.com for the second year running!
