HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. A 60% chance of rain showers moves in for Tuesday with temperatures in the middle 30’s. The rain showers change to light snow for Tuesday night with temperatures falling into the middle 20’s. Things dry out for Wednesday and Thursday with partly cloudy skies and a high around 40 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. Clouds move back in with a 60% chance of rain for today. Temperatures will warm up to around 40 degrees. Lingering evening rain showers could change to light snow before ending tonight, as temperatures fall into the middle 20’s. A return to sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures Wednesday with highs around 35 degrees. Mostly cloudy for Thursday with a 30% chance of rain or snow and highs around 34 degrees.

WINTERGREEN…. Milder temperatures with scattered rain showers (40%) today as temperatures warm into the upper 40’s. The rain odds increase to 70% tonight with lows in the middle 30’s. By Wednesday, skies clear out with an afternoon high around 50 degrees. Even warmer for Thursday, with sunshine and highs in the middle 50’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Clouds are back today with a 70% chance of rain and temperatures warming up into the low 50’s. A 90% chance of rain continues for tonight with very mild lows in the low 40’s. A 20% chance of a lingering rain drop or two Wednesday morning, then skies gradually clear up with a high around 57 degrees. The real warm up moves in for Thursday with sunny skies and high in the low 60’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Clouds return for the High Country today with a 50% rain chance developing as temperatures warm into the middle 40’s. More showers (60%) tonight with lows in the upper 30’s. Sunshine is back for the middle of the week with highs well into the 40’s on Wednesday. Thursday looks mostly sunny more readings in the middle and upper 40’s.
