Slightly milder temperatures for Tuesday

After a picture perfect extended weekend, the temperatures have inched up and there is a slight chance of a little "underdeveloped snow" for late Tuesday across the area. Don’t worry, it won’t be a record breaking warm-up, but should actually make for very comfortable skiing and boarding weather!

Thanks to the cold temps that have allowed for tons of snowmaking and the additional natural snow that has fallen over the past few weeks, conditions are awesome at all of the resorts. Wisp has received over 10′ of fresh snow in the last week alone, with most others getting several inches. So hit the slopes and take advantage of the great conditions and comfortable temperatures the rest of this week.

Here are a few highlights from around the area:

Cataloochee – Join the Cat Crew on Thursday nights here for the Cataloochee Challenge Cup Race Series. Also, Thursday, February 22 – Friday, February 23 are Fire and Rescue Appreciation Days.

Ober Gatlinburg – Tuesday through Thursday – Sessions are Noon-10pm with a $28 lift ticket and 6pm-10pm for only $15.

SkiBeech – Today is Two for Tuesday – Buy an adult day or twilight lift ticket, and get one free with ski rentals available for $15. Offer good for day or twilight tickets only.

Wolf Ridge – 2nd Slope-Style Competition of the Season! Saturday, February 24th, 2007. The competition begins at 12 Noon and will include skiers and snowboarders. Tons of fun!

Snowshoe Resort – Groomers were out late last night, and provided us with some outstanding corduroy for this morning. Terrain today will be great, so get out early today!

Great conditions and great deals at all of the Southeast resorts. Have fun and be safe!

Until Next Time…
