Some natural snow and snowmaking are setting the stage for an incredible start to the week.

Ma Nature delivered some natural snow to a couple of resorts and snowmaking temperatures to some others as the snow is looking pretty fantastic this morning.

Snowshoe was the big winner as they recorded 6″ of fresh natural snow – bringing their two-day total of Cheat Mountain magic to 7″. The ‘Shoe also made snow so they have seen an epic refresh.

Timberline also saw an inch or two of fresh snow helping set the ambiance.

While there was no natural snow, App Ski Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Cataloochee joined Snowshoe in making snow overnight.

The getting will be good if you are able to make some turns today.

In all, we have eight resorts with chairs spinning today. For the full details, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

Here are some notable items as we start the week.

  • Canaan Valley, Ober Mountain, and Wisp Resort concluded their 2023-24 seasons after Sunday’s sessions.
  • Snowshoe Mountain announced on Sunday that they have closed Silver Creek for the remainder of the season.
  • Massanutten has switched to a day-to-day operating basis, contingent upon snow conditions. The resort did note there is still plenty of snow to enjoy.
  • Cataloochee and Beech Mountain are offering day sessions only for the rest of the season as Sunday were each resort’s final night session of the season.

The resorts continue to produce great content on social media, and here are a few posts that grabbed my attention over the last day or so.

Snowshoe was showing off the Cheat Mountain magic on Sunday.

Today’s featured image is also from Snowshoe.

Ober Mountain offered cheers to a great season on Sunday afternoon.

Sugar Mountain hosted the annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, and it looked like an absolute blast.

App Ski joined in on the Sunday Funday fun.

Massanutten shared a post with Kenny Hess discussing the transformation over the past few years and the five-year plan for the ski slopes and beyond.

Winterplace sent out a great thank you to their staff.

We certainly join them in thanking everyone for allowing us to get out and play on the snow.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
