The Season of Change

It is a season of change.

It has been quite incredible to feel the cooler temps that the last week or so has ushered in, and it has been quite refreshing to drive and see the leaves doing their thing.

As weird as 2020 has been, it has felt almost normal the past few weeks.

It has been great to see some of the social media posts from resorts highlighting the fall color – especially those in the northern part of the region.

Earlier this week, the West Virginia Division of Tourism released its first foliage report of the season predicting that Snowshoe and the surrounding area are going to have one of the best years for fall colors in a long time. From some of the photos already, I tend to agree with that assessment.

Don’t forget you can check the fall colors out around the area LIVE on Resortcams.com. It is a great way to get a peek to see what is going on.

For the North Carolina High Country, our own Brad Panovich released his fall color forecast and we are quickly approaching peak.

Check out Brad’s forecast by clicking here.

On top of the leaves changing, we are also watching cooler temps arrive – and it seems that we are getting lower and lower each week.

It won’t be long until we are watching for snowmaking.

That does it for today, but until next time #THINKSNOW!
