Hawksnest Ski Resort is hosting the Nest Games, with events such as a Skier & Boarder Cross, Skier & Boarder Slopestyle and more.  There will be demos from Atomic and Burton…and there’s a host of prizes from the many sponsors such as Atomic, Burton, Farmer’s Ski Shop, Woodland Barbecue, anon, Quiznos Subs, Farmer’s Backside, Backwoods Adventures, Seven Devils Trading Company, Black Cat in Boone, Café 161 and of course SkiNorthCarolina.com.

Registration will be between 8:30am and 9:30am on January 29th, or you can do an early registration at Hawksnest, Farmer’s Backside, Footsloggers, Café 161, Alpine Ski Shop and the Jean Pool.

There will be an awards ceremony and raffle giveaway at The Nest Bar following the competition.

SkiNorthCarolina.com and SkiSoutheast.com will be on hand taking lots of great photos and giving out some SkiNC Hoodies and Tees as long as supplies last! (We’ll give away all that we haven’t sold by that date!)

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come watch the best riders in the High Country battle it out.

Rules and guidelines for Nest-Games Competitors

Where and when:
The competition will be held at Hawksnest Resort on Sunday, January 29th. Registration begins at 8:30 AM on the second floor of the lodge. Everyone must be registered by 9:30 AM. The earlier you arrive the more practice you will get on the course. The Boarder and skier cross will begin at 10:00am and the slope-style will follow at 1:00 PM. Boarders and skiers will be separated for boarder/skier cross, but will compete against each other for slope-style. The price is $45 including lift ticket and entry into both events. If you already have a lift ticket the price will be $15 to register for the competition. We will have prizes from Atomic, Burton, K2 and much, much more!!!! Following the competition we will have an awards ceremony in The Nest Bar and Grill complete with a raffle and giveaways!

Rules:

Helmets are required.
You must wear a leash.
No inverts
The judges’ say is final. NO questions asked!

Competitors must be courteous to other competitors, judges, customers, and Hawksnest staff.
If you miss the riders meeting you will not be allowed to compete.

No late registration.

There will be no more practice runs once the competition starts.

All riders must sign a liability waiver and photo release prior to competing.

You will not be allowed to enter or ride if you are impaired or intoxicated.
