Opening day for Snowshoe Mountain’s 31st season is now set for this Friday, December 3rd. More than 100 hours of snowmaking since Thanksgiving Day has made that possible. This year’s first turns of the season will be coming two days ahead of last season’s opening. Our sources at Snowshoe tell us that we can expect some two to three feet of base.

Even though Opening Day was delayed a bit, Snowshoe’s Opening Day promotion is still going to happen. On Opening Day, if you are one of the first ten people at the Shavers Centre Lift Ticket window, you will receive a Snowshoe Season Pass! How COOL is that!?!

There are some rules to follow and we suggest that you visit www.SnowshoeMtn.com for those. You don’t want to miss out on a great opportunity!

While on the subject of Snowshoe, you’ll want to attend their annual Demo Days Weekend, December 11th and 12th. This is the annual event when you can try out all of this year’s newest skis and snowboards. All of the major companies will be on the Mountain, set up on Skidder Slope showing off their goods. It’s free to try out the equipment, but don’t forget you still need a lift ticket to be on the slopes.

MORE Snowshoe! Again this year, SKI Magazine says Snowshoe Mountain is ‘Number One in the Southeast Region’.
