Weather

Check out the full Skier’s Foerecast Video but the gist of the forecast is that Brad says we’ve been spoiled after last November’s weather with temps averaging 6° below normal compared to this November’s 1° above normal temperatures.

Snowmaking began at Sugar Mountain on Thanksgiving morning and the rest of the resorts should be able to make snow beginning later this evening with SNOW beginning later in the day as well!  The NC mountain can expect 1-3" of snow with Snowshoe, Timberline and Canaan picking up perhaps as much as 6" of snow!

Snowmaking temps are in store beginning later on Thursday and Brad expects resorts to be able to make snow each of the next four nights and a good bit on Friday and Saturday.

Here’s the summary but check out the FULL Skier’s Forecast for West Virginia to North Carolina Ski Areas!

Thursday: Hi 34° Lo 22° 1-6" of SNOW across the region

Friday: Hi 24° Lo 17° SNOW EARLY

Saturday: Hi 29° Lo 19°

Sunday: Hi 34° Lo 22°

Look for a BRIEF mild up on Monday and Tuesday with another cold front and a storm coming behind that.
