It is going to be a mixed-bag weekend.

After this incredible week of snow and snowmaking, Ma Nature has decided to try and put a little bit of a hamper on our fun the next couple of days, but for the most part conditions on the slopes will still be really good.

Mike hit Beech Mountain last night for some runs and provided some great insight on conditions.

Despite the gloomy skies this morning, conditions on the slopes still look fantastic and there is plenty of snow to play on.

Snowshoe and Canaan Valley are opening more trails this weekend for our enjoyment and Wintergreen – who was able to make snow last night – was able to add three more slopes to the mix today.

Today’s featured image is from Canaan Valley’s Justin Harris – what a week of powder conditions they have had in wild and wonderful West Virginia.

For the latest conditions, check out the Snow Reports page.

Homestead is looking pretty fantastic this morning.

Of note, Sapphire Valley is slated to reopen both tubing and skiing operations today at noon. Snowmaking (with the exception of Wintergreen) came to a halt yesterday and it appears no one was able to crank back up last night.

Warmth and rain are unfortunately the headlines for the next couple of days.

Temperatures are going to feel more like spring regionwide this weekend and into early next week on top of some underdeveloped snow moving in. It doesn’t appear to be a total washout so there should be some dry windows, but I would certainly keep the rain hear handy.

The main thing is there will still be plenty of snow to play on.

The legendary Brad Panovich updated his skier’s forecast last night and mentioned that the pattern is starting to show signs of changing next week which will be a welcomed change.

The resorts are certainly in great shape as we prepare to enter a bit of a mild stretch for the next couple of days.

That will do it for today but be sure to keep an eye out on social media for some Ski Southeast Summit news later today or the first part of next week.

Until then, #ThinkSnow.
