Wisp Resort: I just spent a weekend at this great resort and as such I’m interested in seeing what they are in store for this week. They are looking at Mostly Cloudy skies today with a cold drizzle. It will turn colder later with lows dipping down to the low to mid 20s.
Tuesday is looking Partly Cloudy with highs in the low to mid 40s and overnight lows near 20°. Wednesday is looking like a decent shot at Snow Showers and highs near freezing. Overnight look for 20° again. Thursday and Friday appear to be Sunny with highs in the low 40s and overnight lows of 25° Thursday night and a little milder Friday night.
We’ll go to Ober Gatlinburg next and they are at 52° this morning and are seeing rain. Highs today will stay around the current temp and drop to near freezing tonight. 80% chance of rain today.
Tuesday through Friday looks SUNNY at Ober with highs in the 40s and lows in the mid to upper 20s. Ober Gatlinburg should make snow each tonight Tuesday through Thursday nights.
Cataloochee is next:
Expect rain showers today. Tuesday through Saturday looks SUNNY. Highs today and Tuesday will be in the 50s. Cataloochee MAY see cold enough temps to make snow tonight. Regardless, they will see cold temps Tuesday night through Thursday Nights in the low to mid 20s.
We’re going to go to Snowshoe Mountain Next:
Expect rain there today as well. High temps today will be where they are right now (40° or so) and drop into the mid 20s tonight. That will allow the snowguns to crank up! Tuesday look sunny with highs in the mid 30s and lows around the upper teens. Wednesday is SNOW (at least a 30% chance of some) and highs in the upper 20s and lows in the upper teens. Thursday through Saturday looks SUNNY with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens and 20s.
