App Ski Mountain To Rope Drop 23-24 Season On Thursday, Nov. 30

App Ski Mountain is set to kick off the 2023-24 season on Thursday, Nov. 30.

The Blowing Rock resort will drop the rope on the season at 9a with lifts turning until 10p.

The first 50 skiers or snowboarders to the lift will receive a custom BlackStrap/Appalachian Ski Mountain neck tube as part of a special partnership with BlackStrap

The Appalachian Ice Arena is currently open on a regular schedule with sessions daily from 12p-2p, 3p-5p, and 7p-9p.

One quick note for those heading to App this season, the resort will be cashless starting on opening day. Major credit cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and ASM gift cards will be accepted, and there will be reverse ATMs available for those to convert cast to a Visa debit card.
