A Wet Start – THEN WINTER RETURNS to Western North Carolina Mid Week!

Weather

Stay up to date by getting notified of new posts!

Today looks more like a bothersome, drizzle kind of day with highs approaching 50° (maybe even a little higher) and a good 60% chance of showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two.  Low Monday night of 37°.

Tuesday – Hi 46° – Low 33° and 40% chance of a shower or two still hanging around.

Wednesday – Partly Cloudy early then a slight chance of drizzle or maybe a snow flurry or two with highs in the upper 40s and dropping to a low 30° overnight.

Then the fun begins as winter decides to come back to us through at least January 11th which is as far out as the long range forecast goes right now.

Thursday should start as a Partly Cloudy to Snow to Snow mixed with rain kind of day.  Highs may get to 40° and then turn colder with snowmaking temps down to 23°. Snow should pickup a bit overnight.

Friday looks like a definate snow day! Some accumulation is expected with highs in the low to mid 30s and lows dipping into the teens.

Saturday should provide a little more snow early and partly cloudy later in the day.  Highs are expected to be in the 34° range and lows around 17°.

There’s another chance of snow on Monday and every few days beyond…so THINK SNOW and COLD.

Good news is that there will lots of snowmaking going on beginning Wednesday Night or Thursday.
