A Sunny and Mild President’s Day

It is going to be a bluebird end to President’s Day weekend.

Saturday and Sunday were absolutely beautiful and today is going to be more of the same – especially early on before we could see some underdeveloped snow move in overnight.

Unfortunately, dodging rain drops looks to be the name of the game this week, but it won’t be a complete and total washout.

However, we are keeping an eye on the end of the week for snowmaking temps and perhaps so natural snow to return.

Brad will be stopping by with his latest Skier’s Forecast over the next day or two with more so be on the lookout for that.

President’s Day Weekend was certainly a success for the resorts with great conditions and great crowds.

Monday will be more of the same with potentially not as heavy crowds.

For the full details, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

Here are a few notable items from around the area:

  • App Ski Mountain has a President’s Day ticket special as if you buy a flex or night ticket for Monday, you get a free ticket to use in March.
  • As Mike wrote yesterday, Wolf Ridge’s quad is still down. We hope to hear an update this week.
  • Ski Sapphire Valley is open today for special holiday hours.
  • A couple of resorts were able to crank up snowmaking operations overnight, but not many. However, there is a ton of snow to play on and conditions continue to look fantastic.
  • Typically, we see lighter crowds on the Monday of holiday weekends. However, I was surprised to see that Massanutten will only have limited walk-up tickets for today as they have reached online capacity.
  • Today’s featured image is from App Ski Mountain.

With milder temperatures, today will be spring-like conditions on the snow, but it will still be a great day to make some turns.

That does it for today, but until tomorrow, #ThinkSnow!
