It is a beautiful start to the week.

We are going to get a bit of a spring preview this week as we will deal with some milder temperatures, but the conditions are starting fantastic this morning.

It is going to be a bluebird day for nearly all to kick start the first full week of February.

Snow conditions are looking pretty awesome as the resorts were able to take advantage of the weekend conditions and let the mountain operation crews work their magic.

It is amazing what a little refresh will do.

For a full look at conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page.

Here are a few notes as we start the week.

  • It is the first Monday which means it is the Cupp Run Challenge at Snowshoe. The yearly tradition on the Resort’s Western Territory will have Cupp Run closed throughout the day, but Shay’s Revenge will be open.
  • A couple of resorts – Canaan Valley and Timberline – received a trace of natural snow overnight.
  • Tonight is Monday Night Madness at Massanutten. The resort is offering special lift access tickets for $35.
  • Winterplace is also offering a Monday night special (as well as on Thursdays) with $25 tubing tickets. Those are available every Monday and Thursday except for Monday, February 20th.
  • Today’s featured image is from Beech Mountain. Such a sweet shot as they get the slopes ready for the day.
  • Brian Dix was out at App Ski Mountain on Sunday. Look for his feature on the day later this week.

As I mentioned, this week will feature a bit of a spring preview, but our eyes are already on the weekend as winter will return – perhaps with some natural snow.

Definitely, something we will be watching throughout the week.

As always, there were some great posts from the resorts as they took advantage of the weekend.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
