Thanks to Patty Johnson for her morning updates. I’ll “report in” later with some notes that have been sent in and I’ve also posted some photos of the day. (More to come.) By the way the snow back home is looking VERY INVITING on the live cams!

In the meantime, here’s a press release that was sent to us about Wolf Ridge’s upcoming Slope-Style Comp.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wolf Ridge Ski Resort will hold their second slope-style competition of the season on Saturday, February 24, at Park Place Terrain Park just off Upper Boardwalk on the Breakaway side of Wolf Ridge. Competition begins at Noon for both skiers and snowboarders. There will be two levels of competition: Advanced and Intermediate. Each competitor will be given two runs judged by a panel of three judges. The score will be based on style, amplitude and technicality. The top five competitors for each level will move on to a final third run. Advanced Competition winners will receive cash prizes and Intermediate winners will receive gift cards or equipment. Prizes will be given to the top three competitors in each level of competition.

Registration for the competition will be open from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Upper Wolf Ridge Lodge. There will be a $15 registration fee. Competitors will receive a 25% discount on lift tickets. The event is co-sponsored by Wolf Ridge Ski Resort, Ski Country Sports, Zero Gravity Skate Park of Brevard, FLIPSIDE Skateboards, Red Bull, Scenic Wolf Resort and Breakaway.
