Wednesday, November 26 (Deep Creek Lake, MD) – Maryland’s Wisp Resort will open for a special Thanksgiving Weekend operating schedule with skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ice skating and mountain coaster. Wisp Trail (a beginner trail) will operate Friday, November 28 thru Sunday, November 30 with chair lift 2 or 3 from 9am – 5pm with adult lift tickets priced at $39 per day and junior lift tickets priced at $34 per day. Central Park Terrain Park will open Saturday & Sunday, November 29 & 30 with limited terrain features. Sport ski or snowboard rentals are $29 per day and private lessons by reservation only. The Wisp Mountain Park will operate Friday and Saturday, November 28 – 29 from 10am – 7pm and Sunday, November 30 from 10am – 4pm for snow tubing, ice skating and mountain coaster. Snow tubing 2-hour sessions are $34 per person, 90-minute ice skating sessions with rental are $14 per person, a single mountain coaster ride is $14 and double ride ticket is $19. Winter Adventure Combos are available at the Mountain Park for $49 per person and includes a 2-hour snow tubing session, ice skating session with rental and single mountain coaster ride. DC’s Bar & Restaurant will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner service along with special Thanksgiving Day hours from 8am – 6pm and a plated Turkey Dinner for $16 served from 11am – 6pm, call 844.602.5079 for reservations.
The inaugural Wisp Benefit Day is set for Friday, December 5, 2014. All proceeds from Benefit Day ticket sales will go to Garrett Lakes Arts Festival. Tickets are $20 per person for adults or children 6 and older or 38” tall which includes lift ticket access for skiing and snowboarding, unlimited snow tubing, ice skating and a mountain coaster ride at the Mountain Park. All activities are based on availability and are weather permitting. Operating hours are to be announced. There will be various entertainment throughout the day in celebration of the arts. Wisp Resort 14.15 Season Passes are not valid on Benefit Day.
Wisp Resort’s projected official opening day for the 2014.2015 winter season is set for Saturday, December 6, 2014. Open terrain, chairlift operations and pricing will be announced closer to opening day.
