For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. Sunny skies for Friday with highs in the lower 60’s. Temperatures will slide back into the low 30’s Friday night with partly cloudy skies. A few more clouds to start the weekend with a 20% chance of showers, mainly for the afternoon with highs in the upper 50’s. A better chance of showers (60%) or thunderstorms on Sunday with highs in the middle 50’s.
SNOWSHOE… The week wraps up with plenty of sunshine for Friday and an isolated shower (20% chance) in the mix for Saturday. Temperatures will warm up into the middle 50’s both days. More isolated showers (20%) linger into Sunday with highs in the middle 50’s.
HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
There will be some patchy fog or drizzle across the High Country to start Friday off. For the balance of the day, look for partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 60’s. Skies will be partly cloudy Friday night with lows in the lower 40’s. A few more clouds roll in for Saturday with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms and temperatures in the lower 60’s. A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms will stick around for Sunday with highs in the lower 60’s.
