Meteorologist Matthew East with Carolina News 14 has updated his Skier’s Forecast for the Southeast and Mid Atlantic Ski Resorts and you can view that full video by clicking on the link at the bottom of this text update!

Mild Friday and maybe a few showers.  Saturday looks rainy across the NC Mountains where nearly one-half inch of rain may fall. Lesser rain is expected in the Virginia mountains and West Virginia is actually looking dry for Saturday.

Sunday is looking colder and snow chances are in the picture as we move through the day. Sunday may be a mix of snow, rain and wintry mix for areas into WV, VA and Maryland early however as we get into the afternoon hours COLD air comes in and turns everything over to snow for the entire Southeast and Mid Atlantic ski areas!

Monday morning will be FRIGID with some leftover snow and that cold will last into Tuesday so snowmaking crews can make a lot of snow.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are looking seasonably cold with some snow chances and maybe a little light rain earlier on Christmas Eve…then snow on Christmas Day.

Matthew East provides a nice video that tells us what to expect for the next week. Click here> Skier’s Forecast for the Mid Atlantic and Southeast Ski Resorts
