Snowshoe 40th Anniversary Celebration

Snowshoe 40th Anniversary Celebration

0 13

It’s our 40th winter season and we’re planning a blowout birthday party weekend in December to kick it all off. Festivities include discounts on skiing and riding, dance and hot tub parties, on-snow games, costume contests and a live concert by the quintessential funk/soul artists of the 1970s and 1980s, The Commodores.

December 19th is our official Birthday—time to go with retro 70’s lift ticket pricing! Ski or ride for just $14 for a full day lift ticket on that day. These throwback lift ticket prices are only available online at ticketsale.snowshoemtn.com.

On Friday night, electronic dance musician Big Chocolate, a favorite among college kids, will perform live in The Connection Nightclub. This is an all-ages event, with tickets for just $10.

Multi-platinum legends, The Commodores, will perform live inside The Big Top on Saturday, December 21 at 9pm. Renowned for the R&B hits "Just to Be Close to You," "Easy," and "Brickhouse," to name but a few, Commodores were one of the top bands during their long tenure at Motown. The group is credited with seven number one songs and a host of other Top Ten hits on the Billboard charts, and their vast catalog includes more than 50 albums. Tickets for this all-ages event are $40 walk-up and $30 if purchased in advance. Tickets are limited and advanced purchases are strongly recommended.

Tickets may be purchased by calling Snowshoe Reservations at 877.441.4386.  Check out the event site for complete details.

He shares that it was his passion for all things snow that prompted him to start the ski network and since that time the website has gained popularity through it's webcam and weather content as well. Mike spends his off time with his horses, playing golf, tennis and boating on Watauga Lake with his family and friends, coaching local soccer teams and oh yes...Snow Skiing!
