Appalachian Ski Mtn. Opening Day Information

Appalachian Ski Mtn. is excited to announce plans to open for the 2012-13 season on Friday, November 30!

Snowmaking has been ongoing on Upper & Lower Big Appal, Appaltizer, Appaljack, Strudel, Orchard Run, Appal Jam, AppalTop, and Candied Appal. Coverage is looking great for this relatively short window of snowmaking temperatures. Additional snowmaking opportunities are forecasted for later this week and should allow ASM the opportunity to offer great early season conditions to guests on Friday. Night Skiing will begin on a regular schedule from Opening Day forward.

ASM plans to open as much terrain as possible Friday. The additional snowmaking Tuesday/Wednesday night will determine exactly what Slopes are open, so stay tuned for updates.

Several Terrain Park features will be available to riders from day one.

As always on Opening Day, Appalachian will be offering the first 100 guests at the Ticket Window FREE ski tickets! Better set your alarm clock on Friday!

Ice Skating is scheduled to open on a regular schedule also, beginning at 12 Noon.
