Snowmaking temperatures are finally in sight at App Ski Mtn.!

ASM is making snow! Snowmaking will be ongoing throughout the day and night Saturday, and as long as possible into Sunday Morning.

The forecast calls for moderating temperatures Sunday through early Tuesday when another cold front is scheduled to come through that should allow for additional snowmaking operations. Snowmaking staff will be on-call all week, and will be making snow anytime temperatures allow.

An ideal snowmaking scenario would be:
-Generating an initial base Friday Night /Saturday / Saturday Night
-Utilizing favorable temperatures as able Tuesday Night – Next Weekend

So much depends on how the forecast plays out, a potential “best case” opening day would be Friday Nov. 30, or Saturday, Dec. 1. This is Appalachian’s 50th Anniversary Weekend, and the special 1962 lift ticket price ($5) will be offered to all of our guests if open, both Saturday Dec. 1 & Sunday, Dec. 2!
