Our SkiSoutheast Summits are a great way to meet new friends and come hang out with old friends. Many of our members have made every single summit that we've held. They'll tell you that it's always a good time and this year's Snowshoe Summit should be yet another great weekend of fun on the mountain!

Don't think you're comfortable enough or a good enough skier or snowboarder to be a part of one of our Summits? THINK AGAIN.  Our gatherings are about meeting fellow snow lovers and nothing more. Among the more than 140+ people who attended last year's Summit were people of all skill levels and ages. We had plenty of kids, some teens and adults from all walks of life.

This is a great opportunity to meet new friends, get 25% OFF lodging and even get a FREE SUNDAY LIFT PASS for coming and hanging out!

To get the discounted lodging and free lift pass, ALL you have to do is join our messageboard (it's free) and book your lodging with Snowshoe, making sure to give your messageboard name to Snowshoe when you make your reservation.

OUR MESSAGEBOARD IS A GREAT WAY TO SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE RESORTS, COMMUNICATE WITH FRIENDS...and get free and discounted lodging, lift tickets and more...

What is a SkiSoutheast / Snowshoe Summit?

What's this Messageboard thing all about?

2008 Summit

2009 Summit

We had a BLAST at last season's Snowshoe Summit and the Après Ski Party! We're still fine tuning some of the plans but there's already plenty of incentive to be there! Even with the challenging weather this season, Snowshoe's conditions have been pretty fantastic. Despite the milder weather this winter, Snowshoe has been able to keep their trail count at almost 100%. Currently, they have 57 of 60 trails open on 222 acres. That is BY FAR the most of any ski resort in the region! And they are expecting up to a foot of snow this weekend!

So come join us for one more weekend on snow and make your reservations today!

ITINERARY (Check back as we may tweak things)

You're on your own, but for those that want to let's meet up and make some early turns. Click over to the Summit Messageboard thread to keep up with the latest! Several members are planning to get to Snowshoe early, meet up and make some turns!

Snowshoe has a great kick-off party in the Village Friday night. They welcome all SkiSoutheasters to join that party Friday night!
8:15am   First tracks with only our crew and 30 friends on the mountain before Snowshoe drops the ropes for everyone else!  We will fine tune how we are limiting first tracks on Sunday soon. This is an INVITATION ONLY event.
9:00am and all day!   Group Photo Op and Make Some Turns Together
Meet on the slopes at the Soaring Eagle Lift (just away from The Junction) at around 9am to say "hi" and take a group shot of all who are there at that time. Let's Ski, Ride, Be Crazy, Have Fun on the Mountain! We'll be doing some videos and photos all day. We'll be wearing black or gray Hoodies. (We did this last year and it was a great opportunity to meet some of the messageboard members that we'd been communicating with!)

We want to do A WHOLE LOT MORE ON SNOW VIDEO for this summit so we'll be posting a schedule of where we'll have our cameras on Saturday for those who want to be in on the film. Look for TheKENDOG with his GoPro Helmet Cam and Mike with his Blue, NorthFace Ski Jacket or Black SkiSoutheast Hoodie (depending on the temps)!

We'll be set up on these slopes at these times:

9-10am: Skip Jack & Grabhammer
10-10:30am: Gandy Dancer
10:30-11:30: Sawmill and Camp 99

We'll be skiing our way to many of these locations and on the side of the slopes filming. Look for us and stop and say hi and we'll sit and wait for your next trip by and catch your turns for the video.
2:00pm   A select few individuals who took part in First Trax will also get a tour of Snowshoe's snowmaking plant and equipment.
6:00-8:00pm   Après-Ski Party for Summit Attendees
Snowshoe Mountain is once again throwing a party for SkiSoutheast! We'll hold it at Moonshine Watering Hole in the Village! Snowshoe has said there will be some kind of drink specials for us.

We'd like to mingle more this season and just hang out with you guys. We will be bringing some new tees with us to give be there and say hi!
8:15am   First tracks with only our crew and 30 friends on the mountain before Snowshoe drops the ropes for everyone else!  We will fine tune how we are limiting first tracks on Sunday soon. This is an INVITATION ONLY event.
