What’s new for 2010-2011!

The already impressive collection of snowmaking equipment at Snowshoe continues to grow as Snowshoe snowmakers strive to provide the best snow conditions for skiers and riders! A new compressor has been installed at Silver Creek!

New Terrain Park square footage!! A section of Robertson’s Run at the Siler Creek area will be devoted to beginner, surface level terrain park features! Now an impressive 9% of Snowshoe’s acreage is devoted to freestyle terrain! That’s 22 acres of extreme snow fun!

Look for these new features this season!! Snowshoe will debut a C-bow, an 8′ by 16′ butter box, a 20′ flat box, a 20′ down bar, a Cannon rail, 2 mini rainbows, 5 small flat rails, a 20′ double barrel flat rail and a 40′ down-flat-down.

This year the folks at Snowshoe Mountain are offering some killer deals, making your trip to the Mountain more affordable and more fun!

* Guaranteed Learn to Ski: Take 1 adult beginner lesson (at full price) and you’ll receive a FREE (beginner, group) lesson per day for the remainder of your visit!
* Free Skiing: Book any 5+ night lift/lodging package and you’ll receive FREE season passes for up to the minimum occupancy of the unit!
* Kids Ski Free: Book any 4+ night lift/lodging package and kids 12 and under ski free (opening day thru Dec. 26th and March 1st thru closing)

In addition to Snowshoe’s wide variety of lodging, they also offer tons of different dining options. New for the upcoming 2010-2011 season, The Junction and Auntie Pastas will feature new menus while also retaining old favorites. A new restaurant in the Village will offer sandwiches, soup, salads, and great beer. And, you’ll find a new BBQ buffet on Saturday nights at the Shavers Center!
