…and then there WAS ONE!

We are compiling some notes to wrap up the 2007-2008 ski and snowboarding season, and in the meantime Timberline Resort continues to operate until April 6th.

They have not updated a ski report on their own website since Friday so we’ll assume that they are still operating with 23-25 trails for today. Timberline Resort made the decision to extend their season seven days past when all of the rest of the resorts in the Southeast and Mid Atlantic have ceased snow ops for the season.

We’ll try to get you guys some updates on them as soon as we hear from them. We’ll also try to get you some photos since they have evidently turned their live camera off for the last week.

As mentioned, all of the rest if the ski resorts within our coverage area have now ceased snow sports ops for the 2007-2008 Season. (The SSAA is incorrectly reporting Wintergreen, Canaan, Snowshoe, Winterplace and Wisp resorts as open.  They are not.)

Please check back within a day or so for some wrap ups. Joe Stevens gave his annual "Snowies" away last week and I am gathering some notes and plan to provide a report card for all of our ski areas and for our own snow network of outreach.

You won’t want to miss that so check back often as I am hopeful of being able to put the wraps on what was a struggle of a season for some, and an amazingly successful season for others.

For those that won’t make it back to this website until just prior to next season – THANK YOU so much for making us a regular stop in your day. Thank you for giving us your confidence to provide a one stop shop for all of the information that you need to plan your ski getaway.

On behalf of all of the Southeast and Mid Atlantic ski resort…we all thank you for visiting your favorites during the season. We will do our best to make for an even better product for the 2008-2009 ski and snowboarding season.

For those who would like to…check back as we will be putting some wraps on this season, we will debut a new SnowReport Card to tell you what our crew thinks of the job that our resorts did this past winter, and we’ll provide some hints of what to expect for this summer at the resorts, and we’ll also tell you of our plans for the website for next season.

Stay tuned…
