Snowshoe Mountain’s Weather Forecast Looks – SNOWY!

Look for snow to develop around the higher elevations of West Virginia near lunchtime. Highs should be near 33° and Sunday night’s lows should be around 20°. Expect an inch or more of snow tonight. Monday should offer 1-2” of additional snow with highs near 25°. Around the clock snowmaking temps! Tuesday and Wednesday should be partly cloudy with highs in the 30s and lows in the 21° range. It should be a nice turkey day with sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 40s. (Great opening day weather!)

Wintergreen and the Virginia Mountains:

Look for mostly cloudy skies and highs near 45° for Sunday and lows Sunday night near 30°. Monday should be mostly cloudy with highs in the low 40s and lows around 26°. May see more snowmaking temps! It will be cold enough to make snow Tuesday night as well. Thanksgiving Day should be sunny with a high near 56° and lows near 35°.

The forecast for the North Carolina Mountains:

After a cloudy Sunday morning and highs near 40°, expect SNOW SHOWERS to develop! The low Sunday night should be near 26° and there’s a good chance of from 2-4” of snow from Sunday evening through midday Monday. Highs Monday should be near freezing, which will allow for around the clock snowmaking at the ski resorts. Tuesday should be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 30s and lows around 23°.

The forecast for Thanksgiving Day and beyond is for highs in the upper 40s to near 50° and lows around 32° with variably cloudy skies. More of the same for Friday and Saturday.
