HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. Increasing clouds today with a 20% snow chance and a high around 8 degrees, and the wind chill making it feel like -25 degrees at times. Snow chance increase to 60% for tonight with 2 to 4 inches of possible accumulation, as temperatures hold around 5 degrees. More snow showers continue through the mid afternoon on Wednesday with a high around 10 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. Another cold one today with increasing clouds and a 20% chance of light snow developing this afternoon. Highs will climb to around 9 or 10 degrees, with wind chill values around -25 degrees. A better snow chance tonight (50%) with a possible 2 to 4 inches of accumulation, with a low around 6 degrees. More snow (40%) for Wednesday with temperatures in the low teens.

WINTERGREEN…. Sunny skies are back for today with highs in the upper 20’s. A quick round of light snow for tonight (70%) with lows in the middle teens, and 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible with a low around 15 degrees. Sunshine for Wednesday with a high around 35 degrees.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Temperatures will warm up into the middle 30’s today, with a 20% chance of rain or snow. Mostly cloudy skies for tonight with a 40% snow chance through the evening, with rain changing to light snow late, and temperatures in the low 30’s. Isolated rain showers in the morning on Wednesday, followed by cloudy skies and highs in the low 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Clouds are on the increase, with isolated snow showers this afternoon and highs around 30. A 40% chance of light snow mixing with rain late, and temperatures steady in the low 30’s. An early morning leftover snowflake or rain shower Wednesday morning, with highs in the upper 30’s, and partly sunny skies for the rest of the afternoon.
