HAs Snowshoe Resort got too much snow? Nope…we all know you can never have too much…but they did prove a point by trucking some to the state capital in West Virginia!

Members of the West Virginia Ski Areas Association promoted their 60 plus inches of snow in March at the State Capitol in Charleston, WV on Tuesday.

Snowboarders from Canaan Valley, Snowshoe Mountain, Timberline and Winterplace set up a mini-terrain park on the Capitol Plaza. Two dump trucks left Snowshoe Mountain Monday afternoon with 37.5 tons of snow and the resorts began building the small run Monday night, finishing it up Tuesday morning. The association was able to get the message out about the awesome spring skiing conditions in the state and made sure the legislators that are in session understood that the ski industry contributes 250 million dollars to the state’s economy.
