Happy FRIDAY After Thanksgiving! This short clip will show a quick tour of the region showing that a few ski resorts have made snow over the last 24-48 hours, although as of 8:30, Friday morning only Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia is currently making snow.

Numerous viewers had speculated over the last few days that a couple of the traditional “early bird” ski areas of Sugar Mountain and Cataloochee might be able to open tomorrow, Saturday, Nov 25th, however that is not happening. There is a good burst of cold air entering into the region into Monday night and we anticipate lots of snowmaking going on across the region – with ski areas looking to open as early in December as possible.

Be sure to check out the chatter about resort openings happening over on our new SkiSoutheast Discord Channel.
